Paul McCartney is Working with Who?!

Paul McCartney: Music Legend

Paul McCartney has been a busy man lately, having recently collaborated on FourFiveSeconds with Kanye West and Rihanna (see the video at the bottom of the page).  The legendary Beatles bassist/singer is at it again.  This time, he has been seen in the studio with a fan of his.

It’s Lady Gaga.

Social media lit up last night with new pictures taken during a studio session in which McCartney and Gaga worked on a “secret project“.

I can only speculate on what the nature of this “secret project” is, but knowing the two of them, it’s going to be both creative and entertaining.  Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long to hear the results.

A lot of rock purists are probably fuming over this and complaining to anyone who will listen, but this is actually a very understandable collaboration.  For one, Lady Gaga has gone on record saying that her favorite band is Iron Maiden, and has given great praise to other legendary rock acts.  Lets also remember that the Beatles were the originators of modern pop music.  They are a direct influence on Lady Gaga’s music, and Paul has worked with a diverse range of artists in the past, including the “King of Pop” himself, Michael Jackson.  Beyond all that though, it can be a lot of fun to work with different artists.   Who want’s to stay confined to just one genre, other than metal heads (disclaimer: I know not all metal heads do this)?

I know some people are going to write this off before giving it a fair chance, but I’d bet that if you give it a chance, you’ll realize there is a lot of potential in a project like this.
